Dr. Ron Kikinis is the B. Leonard Holman Professor at Harvard Medical School, and Vice-Chair for Biomedical Informatics Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is the founding Director of the Surgical Planning Laboratory, and Principal Investigator of the 3D Slicer open source software platform for image analysis and visualization. In the past 30 years, Dr. Kikinis has served as the Principal Investigator (PI) and site PI of a number of large and small NIH and NSF funded grants. Dr. Kikinis serves as an advisor to the NousNav team on the development of open source tools for clinical research in image-guided therapy.
